Concordius (lat) — concord, agreement, accord.
Cinematography can be the audience’s and the author’s (popular and auteur). ‘The audience’s’ means for us to hear you. What you would like to see. How you want to see it. Understand. Do.
‘The author’s’ means to hear ourselves. To realise ourselves. We have something to share. Something to show. To communicate.
We are looking for a meeting point. A point of concord. Seeking to make a film that is both the author’s and the audience’s — in between these poles. We believe that in our work — just as on the screen — the atmosphere is important. On the screen the atmosphere is subjected to the plot, the author’s design.
In cinema production we have decided to create an atmosphere of accord. An atmosphere allowing us to concentrate on the creative idea.
To set ourselves free.
We want to be free from administrative problems, from the pressure of producers, from unreal rumours.
We move — through work, search, and experiment — to internal accord.
